Fedora infrastructure engineer Kevin Fenzi sent an announcement today noting that there’s going to be a significant planned downtime on June 9th, 2015, starting at 23:00 UTC. (Run date -d '2015-06-09 23:00 UTC' to convert to your local time.) It’s scheduled for four hours, but hopefully will be less.
This will affect:
- The Fedora wiki
- The master mirrors (downloads)
- The build system (koji)
- The updates system (bodhi)
- GIT/source control (pkgs)
Other services, including Fedora Magazine, will be unaffected. When we come back on line, there will be a significant increase in storage available to these services, and we’re anticipating a speed increase as well.
