Okay, so, Mark asked for it, and here we go: my response to the ALS Icebucket Challenge. Spoiler: I make a donation and my kids dump water on my head anyway — and I squeal like a little girl. So if you enjoy watching any of those things, here you go…

I’m not going call out anyone in specific as a challenge, but I would like everyone to remember that charity isn’t just a one-time stunt thing, and that generosity inspired by this campaign shouldn’t end there. So, I challenge everyone in Fedora and the open source community in general to make giving an ongoing part of all of our lives. A collective, long-lasting commitment to humanitarian assistance can do far more than one summer of watching people get doused with freezing water and shrieking… not that there’s anything wrong with that.
