The last installment of the Heroes of Fedora QA went over the statistics from Bodhi. This third and final installment for the Fedora 21 release will take a look at Bugzilla. The stats below are from new bug reports filed throughout the entire release cycle. Due to some technical limitations, these numbers aren’t 100% of all bug activity throughout the release. However, they do provide some nice insight into the reporting that went into Fedora 21. Now, onto the statistics!

Mikhail took the top slot for final with 25 bugs – staying in the top three throughout the entire release with 113 total bug reports. Thanks for all the work Mikhail! Kamil came in second for Final, with 1 less report than Mikhail. Adam, Poma and Tomas all had 12 reports while Autarch, Lubomir, Mustafa and Ralf all had 11 reports. Third place through ninth only had a single report difference between them! Thanks to everyone for putting Fedora 21 through the gauntlet and submitting so many bug reports!
Well, that’s it for the Fedora 21 version of Heroes of Fedora QA. Thanks so much to everyone working on and testing Fedora throughout the release! Fedora 22 is set to branch soon, so take some time, relax and get ready to get started again here in the coming weeks.

Footnotes –
1 The total number of new reports (including “excess reports”). Reopened reports or reports with a changed version are not included, because it was not technically easy to retrieve those. This is one of the reasons why you shouldn’t take the numbers too seriously, but just as interesting and fun data.
2 Excess reports are those that were closed as NOTABUG, WONTFIX, WORKSFORME, CANTFIX or INSUFFICIENT_DATA. Excess reports are not necessarily a bad thing, but they make for interesting statistics. Close manual inspection is required to separate valuable excess reports from those which are less valuable.
3 This only includes reports that were created by that particular user and accepted as blockers afterwards. The user might have proposed other people’s reports as blockers, but this is not reflected in this number.
