FUDCon is the Fedora Users and Developers Conference, a major free software event held in various regions around the world, usually annually per region. FUDCon is a combination of sessions, talks, workshops, and hackfests in which contributors work on specific initiatives. Topics include infrastructure, feature development, community building, general management and governance, marketing, testing and QA, packaging, etc.
On this occasion will celebrate in Cusco, Peru and will meet contributors of various Latam countries and some guests of others continents to discuss their ideas about the Fedora development in general.
This is the fifth edition of FUDCon in Latin America, previous editions were held in:
- FUDCon Latam 2009 – Porto Alegre – Brasil.
- FUDCon Latam 2010 – Santiago de Chile – Chile.
- FUDCon Latam 2011 – Panama – Panama.
- FUDCon Latam 2012 – Valencia – Venezuela.
Location
FUDCon Latam 2013 will be held in the city of Cusco (Peru) in Cusco Convention Centre from 26 to 29 September 2013.
The Cusco convention center is housed in the Palace of the city of Cusco, the building recalls the story of the first public building in the Spanish colony, the Prefecture of the Department during the Republic and the Municipality of the second half of the twentieth century.
