Fedora 22 end of life

Fedora 22 EOL

Fedora 22 EOL

As of July 19, 2016, Fedora 22 has reached its end of life for updates and support. No more updates, not even security fixes, will be provided for Fedora 22. Fedora 23 will be maintained with updated packages until approximately one month after the release of Fedora 25.

Upgrading to Fedora 23 or Fedora 24 is highly recommended for all users still running Fedora 22. For more information on upgrading Fedora, check out the DNF System Upgrade page on the Fedora Project wiki.

About the Fedora Release Cycle

The Fedora Project community provides updated packages for a Fedora release until about a month after the second following release. For example, updates for Fedora 23 continue until about a month after the release of Fedora 25. Fedora 24 continues to be supported until approximately one month after the release of Fedora 26.

The Fedora Project wiki contains more detailed information about the entire Fedora Release Life Cycle. This page includes how each version of Fedora progresses from development, to release, to post-release support, to end of life.

  1. I loves me my stable platform but not for very long. Just got to learn to be an Oracle DBA just enough to have a target for my F5 BigIP LTM so’s I can build me my very first SQLmonitor.

    Thanks,

It is not possible to roll back the version of Chrome that’s shipped with F22 is it? There are few announces with GNOME Shell 3.20.3 such as: rename functionality & the copy/move progress feature, drives me insane 😛

    • @marty: The Chrome browser repository is provided by Google, not Fedora. You would need to direct your question to them.

I wasn’t talking about chrome… I mean “Gnome!”, as to why I didn’t proof read is beyond me, some grammar mistakes too.. Chrome,, only use it at work…..must of been in work mode..
if it was just Chrome I can fix in a jiffy, I actually meant to type Gnome, I really don’t like many features of the updated gnome, miss the superseded version, but heard it can have dire results rolling back..
        Thanks in advance,
        Marty

I actually meant Gnome, not Chrome.. Don’t use Chrome.
But actually getting back…. Gnome has some real cosmetic disadvantages compared to the late.

  3. Recently installed Fedora 24 on a light workstation, great distro, I’ll suggest it to mu friends and colleagues.

I don’t use Fedore since it was removed “core” from its name so it is a return to the past for me, many memories 🙂

Have a nice day and a nice community work at Fedora, bye bye 😉

Sad to hear of EOL for Fedora 22 as it was the version that I turned too when I fully made the switch from Windoze – I was using 21 as a duel boot with W7 but W10 made me balk. Happily using Fedora 24 now and not really looking back.
